A few weeks ago, I went to a museum in The Hague (Netherlands) where there was a collection about ‘Fifties Fashion’. It was really nice to see and feel the beautiful clothes (you could actually feel the fabric, because they had cut out small pieces of the fabric). The collection was a bundle of great designers as Maison Dior, Hubert de Givenchy, Madame Grès, Vivienne Westwood and many more. (I wasn’t allowed to take pictures, but I did it anyway. So some of them may be a bit of less quality).
After the Second world war, the widespread poverty and shortages soon disappeared. It brought greater prosperity. It was a time when almost every household had a television, a washing machine and more cars were seen.
